I’ve just spoken at this year’s Labour Party Conference in Liverpool. I’m writing today to let you know that if this year’s Conference has shown one thing, it’s this:

Change has begun. Doctors back in theatre, Great British Energy launched, the onshore wind ban lifted, housing planning reformed. And we’re only just getting started on our five national missions that will deliver the change that I know the British people want and need.

Change isn’t easy. It means taking the tough decisions that are right for our country in the long term so we can rebuild our public services, protect working people and deliver a Britain that belongs to you.

Only Labour will raise living standards across our country, cut NHS waiting lists, deliver safer streets in your community, strengthen our borders, create more opportunities for your children and provide clean, British energy to power your home.

John xxxxxx, there is light at the end of this tunnel. If we come together, we can rebuild Britain.

That’s why today, I’m asking you, if you believe politics can be a force for good, if you want a country that respects working people - a Britain that belongs to you - join the Labour Party today:

Just because Britain isn’t working at the moment, doesn’t mean it can’t be fixed. The Tories have beaten the hope out the country, but we will bring it back and show that politics can change lives.

People said we couldn’t change the party - but we did. They said we couldn’t win across Britain - but we have. Now they say we can’t deliver national renewal - but we can and we will.
 
We will stabilise our economy, clear out the Tory rot, fix the foundations and deliver the mandate of change.

And I want you to be a part of that, John xxxxxx. That’s why I’m inviting you to join the Labour Party.
 
Together, we will build a Britain built to last, built with respect and pride - a Britain that belongs to you.
