Why we are 350: Scientists overwhelmingly agree that 350ppm CO2 is the upper limit to sustain life as humans have lived it. For more than 800,000 years atmospheric CO2 varied between roughly 180 to 280ppm.

   Our Earth passed 350ppm CO2 during 1988!

No Money for Fossil Fuels
Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 25, 4 - 6pm
BP at
1604 E Capital Dr, Shorewood

Continued burning of fossil fuels will make this world uninhabitable within a few decades. A nuclear war would make this world uninhabitable in a few minutes. We must end our addiction to fossil fuels and nuclear weapons before it’s too late.

A small number of very large companies profit from fossil fuels and nuclear weapons AND spend millions on lobbying, elections and propaganda to maintain their control over Congress and the White House. But these companies – and their investors – also care about their public image and their reputations. Boycotts, divestment and shaming are very effective tools we can use to pressure the profiteers. It’s been done before and we can do it again!

As our contribution to numerous global calls to action*, the Warheads to Windmills Coalition is targeting 7 of the top nuclear weapons companies and 7 of the top fossil fuel companies during these two weeks: one per day…

Tomorrow 350 Milwaukee (as part of the

ACE Rally in lead up to PSC Hearing
Thursday, Oct. 3, Noon
Zeidler Park -  Across from We Energies

The WI PSC is holding a public hearing in Milwaukee on October 3rd.

ACE (Action for the Climate Emergency), and many other organizations are hosting a rally at noon outside We Energies Headquarters, then marching to the Drury Plaza hotel where the hearing will be held.

We have some press confirmed to attend as well.

We need all hands on deck to save our low-income communities in Milwaukee from price gouging and from a worsening climate crisis.

Please RSVP for the rally here: https://a4ce.me/PSC2

Excerpt from a 350 Wisconsin Action Alert:

"Corporate greed alert!
We Energies, an investor-owned utility serving primarily southeastern Wisconsin, has proposed its third rate increase in the past three years–and it’s a big one.

Residents throughout We Energies’ service territory have struggled with unaffordable energy bills for years. Over the past two decades, We Energies customers have seen their bills more than double at a rate faster than inflation. And in the past two years alone, We Energies has raised its residential energy rates by more than 13%Now, We Energies wants to increase its profits even more by raising residential energy costs by a whopping 18.5% by 2026.

You might ask, "Aren’t these increases needed to keep the lights on?" Logically, that should be the case. However, WEC Energy Group – the parent company of We Energies – is only looking out for its wealthy shareholders. As the most profitable utility in Wisconsin, WEC is raking in more than double the revenue of the next most profitable utility!"
