One in five nonprofit workers can’t afford basic expenses. That’s the headline finding of a new report ([link removed]) by Independent Sector and the research organization United for ALICE (which stands for Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, and Employed).

Our sector widely preaches values of equity, justice, and fairness in our work—but do we sometimes turn a blind eye to our own practices?
