Nottingham City Council are looking for LGV drivers to work across different services within commercial & operations. To be responsible for the day to day?operations and safety of a small team providing a full range of gardening, refuse, recycling & cleansing duties throughout the city to maintain the environment. The role will primarily be driving refuse collection vehicles ranging from 18 tonne?up to 32 tonne. The role operates flexibly across a range of frontline services depending on the service needs?i.e. domestic waste, commercial waste, street cleansing & highways.??

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:?
? Class 2 driving licence
? Driver CPC
? Experience / knowledge of the safe operation and driving refuse collection vehicles, gritters, mainline sweepers
? Be able to work flexible hour's on an annualised ours basis. Work long or short hours throughout different weeks across numerous working patterns. This also includes weekend working to cover all bank holidays including Good Friday

You will need to?demonstrate a proven ability and willingness to study and develop your skills and knowledge, to successfully complete the Regulatory Compliance Officer (RCO) apprenticeship, then Stage 1 of the Trading Standards vocational qualification.

You will join our forward thinking Trading Standards Service, which combines supporting businesses with investigating rogue trading activities, and utilises a range of problem solving enforcement tactics to protect our communities, particularly more vulnerable citizens.

The duration of the apprenticeship is 2 years, following which the post will convert to a Trading Standards Officer Level 2.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:?
? Willingness and ability to undertake and successfully complete the Level 4 apprenticeship in Regulatory Compliance
? Willingness to undertake in-house training specific to the job role
? An understanding and awareness of Trading Standards law and practice
? Experience of working in a team environment, and be able to demonstrate being a flexible team player
? Having a high level of customer service skills, with the ability to deal with conflict tactfully and diplomatically
? Effective written communication skills, including IT skills,? in order to produce reports, letters and accurate detailed records
? Ability to pass and maintain Nottinghamshire Police Vetting check
