Audience: Lead agencies working in MnCHOICES applications

Effective date: Oct. 1, 2024

Summary: The MnCHOICES legacy computer applications (MnA 1.0 and MnSP 1.0) will retire on Oct. 1, 2024, and will no longer be available.

Audience: Personal care assistance (PCA) and Consumer Support Grant (CSG) workers

Summary: Starting Oct. 1, 2024, people using PCA and CSG will transition to CFSS at their next assessment. DHS created a resource for workers as they prepare for the transition.

Audience: Lead agencies, customized living providers and other interested parties

Application period: Sept. 1 to Sept. 30, 2024

Summary: The 2024 Minnesota Legislature approved changes to the rate floor adjustment (i.e., minimum daily rate) for customized living services providers that are designated as disproportionate share facilities. Eligible facilities can apply through Sept. 30, 2024.

Audience: Autistic adults, parents and caregivers, providers, lead agencies, advocates and others interested in early intervention services for autism and related conditions

Summary: DHS is recruiting new members for the EIDBI advisory group that advises DHS on a health benefit for people younger than age 21 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions. Applications open Oct. 1, 2024.

Summary: Join DHS for an overview on getting started with EVV in Minnesota and learn about the blended services functionality that launches in October.

Audience: 245D-licensed providers, tribal nations and lead agencies, particularly people directly involved in agency oversight and leadership, incident data and response, quality assurance, adult protection, licensing and risk management compliance

Summary: DHS will host a Culture of Safety advanced practical training. DHS recommends participants attend all three sessions.
