The claim that Big Pharma profits greatly from the hepatitis B vaccine overlooks the reality that treating chronic hepatitis B is far more expensive. While the vaccine costs about $17 per dose, treatments for chronic infections can reach tens of thousands. Vaccination is thus a cost-effective way to prevent severe health outcomes.
