Look, folks, I know you're getting a lot of these emails, but I promise I wouldn't be reaching out if it wasn't important: 

My opponent and his backers have virtually unlimited resources to attack me and try to buy Montana's Senate seat – and it looks like their attacks are working.

The latest polls show this race wide open, and we've fallen way behind on our fundraising targets. I'm worried that if we don't turn things around soon, we might not be able to catch up. I truly hate coming to you like this, but I have no other choice but to ask: 

Will you please split a donation of $5 or more today between my campaign and Jacky Rosen's to help us get our fundraising back on track so I can keep fighting for you in Washington?

I've never been your typical politician. I'm a farmer with a vast collection of dirt-stained T-shirts. I grew up in a 24x36-foot house, and I still farm the land my family homesteaded 100 years ago.

So if there's one thing I can promise you, it's this: You can count on me to wake up every single day and try to do right by you and your family.

That means standing up to anybody who tries to get in the way of improving health care for veterans, lowering prescription drug costs, or protecting Medicare and Social Security. Because these aren't just abstract issues or talking points. These are things that will make a very real difference for the people in Montana and across the country, and that's what I'm fighting for in Washington.

But so far, outside groups are spending nearly $90 million to beat me, and my opponent has even poured $2.4 million of his own fortune into his campaign. I just can't go up against that kind of spending without your immediate grassroots support.

So please, will you make a split donation of $5 or more between my campaign and Jacky Rosen's today? Every dollar will help me fight back against all of these attacks so we can win this race.
