Friend,
Election Day is rapidly approaching.
Kamala Harris is smart, qualified and a unifying force. I believe at the end of the day she is going to win. But I don’t think the election itself solves our problems because politics and government aren't working for people on a very basic level.
Things are getting worse, not better and I think we need to take a fresh look with a new perspective. Increased homelessness, a migrant crisis that isn’t going away, a dropping population and a general feeling that things are unsafe and out of control.
I talked more about this recently, with my friends at Bedford Central Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn. You can watch my remarks below.
We all know the issues.
But first, a question: What is the most important letter that does not appear in the word election, or the words voting, or candidate, or debates, or even the words president, governor, assemblyman or senator – the letter is “u.”
It's a true irony as this election and every election is about you.
As always thanks for your support and your friendship.
