Dear Friend,

Envision a leisurely summer day: You’re strolling through the park, enjoying the beautiful weather and drinking the perfect cup of coffee. You feel at peace because you just recently broke off a relationship with a partner who ultimately wasn't the right fit for you.

Suddenly, a jarring notification on your phone gives that perfect cup of coffee a sour taste in your mouth:

Private images you sent

only

to this ex-partner were posted online.

They have been shared and commented on by hundreds of people already. You can’t believe it. Although you broke up,

you trusted this person

completely.

You never expected they would do something like this.

All the worst-case scenarios are racing through your mind:

What if my boss has seen these? Will I be fired? Have my parents seen them?

Sharing sexual images without consent is a form of

image-based sexual abuse (IBSA).

It can compromise a victim’s reputation, mental health, relationships, safety … and so much more.

Help combat image-based sexual abuse (IBSA) by becoming a monthly donor!

As disheartening as it is to think people would commit such atrocities, in the past few months, we have already seen several encouraging victories to help put a stop to IBSA:

👉

In June,

Massachusetts

became the 49th state to criminalize image-based sexual abuse.

👉Three federal bills

fighting IBSA have all taken big steps forward: The DEFIANCE Act and SHIELD Act recently passed the Senate, and the TAKE IT DOWN Act unanimously passed Committee!

👉

The CEO of

Telegram

, a site notorious for IBSA, was arrested in France and the platform is being investigated

👉Google

made it easier to remove or downrank image-based sexual abuse in search results

All it takes is a few clicks for someone’s life to be ruined through image-based sexual abuse. But, with a few clicks,

YOU can help

put a stop to this.

Thank you for your generosity and your heart for survivors!
