Allen Berger, PhD, will examine how therapists and counselors can comfortably acknowledge a range of patient emotions, experiences and trauma—even those that might feel unpleasant. He’ll also share ways to effectively engage patients through creative therapeutic interventions. Learning objectives include:

Identifying how to become comfortable with uncomfortable aspects of therapy and interaction with patients

Discovering how to introduce therapeutic experiments into sessions

Examining the benefit of therapist authenticity and why it matters
