Dear John,

American Workforce Tax Team Roundtable in Rockford

Last Monday, I hosted a Ways and Means Committee American Workforce Tax Team Roundtable with Representative Mike Carey at Collins Aerospace in Rockford. We gathered local businesses to discuss the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), as well as what tax policies would give them and their employees the best chance to succeed and grow.

Protecting TCJA is essential for small businesses, workers, and families in Illinois to get ahead, and stay ahead.

By providing apprenticeships, training, and connecting employees to potential employers, they help create a stronger workforce and boost economic growth for communities in Northern Illinois.

One More Thing: Only American Citizens Should Decide our Elections

Biden’s reckless policies have created an unmitigated disaster at our border, allowing millions of illegal immigrants to flow into our country. The SAVE Act will require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. This is a commonsense policy that would bolster our current election laws and help strengthen the trust in our electoral process.

Congress must enact the SAVE Act and secure our elections.
