Today, on Bisexual Visibility Day, we celebrate the vibrant and diverse experiences of bisexual individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. Bisexuality is an integral part of the LGBTQ+ spectrum, yet bisexual people often face unique challenges, including pervasive misunderstandings and a lack of visibility.
To help foster better understanding and strengthen your allyship, we encourage you to explore our "Understanding Bisexuality" ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) guide. This resource provides valuable insights and practical tips on how to support bisexual youth and create inclusive environments where they can truly thrive.

Many bisexual individuals are met with misconceptions that can feel isolating, like being told their identity is just a phase or that they don’t face the same struggles as others in the LGBTQ+ community. These harmful stereotypes contribute to a lack of visibility and validation, which can be particularly challenging for bisexual youth navigating their identities. By recognizing these challenges, we can work together to create spaces where bisexual young people feel seen, supported, and valued.
We invite you to watch Mary’s story ([link removed]) from our “Styles of Pride” series, where she shares her experience as a bisexual individual and the importance of visibility and acceptance.

As allies, we have the power to make a meaningful difference. By educating ourselves, using affirming language, and actively advocating for the rights and well-being of LGBTQ+ youth, we can help create a world where every young person knows they are valid and loved just as they are. Understanding and inclusivity begin with awareness, and your commitment to these values is what drives change.
Support from individuals like you enables The Trevor Project to continue our work to end LGBTQ+ youth suicide through our crisis services as well as the development of resources and guides like these to promote education and allyship.
