Dear John,
Despite its enormous environmental impact, industrial animal agriculture is often left out of climate conversations. The meat and dairy industries are powerful influencers, even outspending the oil and gas sectors on federal lobbying.
Their tactics, including greenwashing and promoting voluntary emissions programs, have skewed the debate.
This year, Mercy For Animals will be part of Climate Week NYC September 22–29! Our involvement in this critical event shows key stakeholders worldwide that we can no longer ignore the meat and dairy industries’ impact on our environment.
Help us get this powerful message heard by taking action today!

The need to dramatically reduce meat and dairy production is urgent—and one way to accomplish this is to implement policies that support shifts to more plant-based eating.
We cannot fight climate change without diet change.
That's why, this year, we're introducing the International Meat Alliance Against Meat

as a new kind of meat lobbying group! Unlike traditional groups, ours lobbies against meat and acknowledges the significant environmental impact of industrial animal agriculture.
Our mission is to drive transformative policy changes that champion shifts toward plant-based eating. By uniting our efforts, we can challenge the dominant food and farming systems and create a sustainable future.
Thank you for standing with us in the fight for a kinder, more sustainable planet.
With hope,
Leah Garcés
CEO and President
