Green Beret Pat Harrigan attended West Point after high school. After
graduating with a degree in Nuclear Engineering, he was commissioned into the
Infantry, completed Ranger School, and was sent to Fort Wainwright, Alaska, for
his first assignment as Infantry Platoon Leader.He later deployed to Afghanistan
and took over a small air-access only combat outpost in the heart of the
Arghandab valley. At 23 years old and in charge of roughly 350 Americans,
Afghans, and expatriates, and responsible for nearly $100 million worth of
infrastructure and equipment, it was an experience that shaped him for the rest
of his life and led him to where he is today.

When Pat returned to the United States, he volunteered and was selected for
the Special Forces, and moved to North Carolina to complete Special Forces
training.After becoming a Green Beret, he returned to Afghanistan and led his
Special Forces unit. It became clear to Pat that the United States had lost the
political will to win, and we had a true crisis of leadership brewing in our
country.

Today, Pat is a businessman, a husband, and a father to two daughters seeking
to continue his record of public service in Congress. Just as he fought for our
freedom overseas, he’s ready to fight for each and every one of us in the House
of Representatives.
