Epilepsy takes an enormous toll on the people living with it and their loved ones—due to the unpredictability and catastrophic impact of seizures. For Tina Sacks, she found CURE Epilepsy when her son, Benicio, now 6 years old, received his diagnosis:
“My first gift to CURE Epilepsy was during the Unite to CURE Epilepsy campaign in 2021 after my son was diagnosed with Doose syndrome. We have been lucky that the Ketogenic Diet has given us seizure freedom. This is what all families deserve.
While I know this respite may not last, I also know that the only way we all can have freedom is through research. That's why I continue to support CURE Epilepsy and especially the Unite to CURE Epilepsy Day of Giving.
I encourage you to make your first gift or a special gift for all those who deserve to live without the fear of when the next seizure will strike.”
