*Game and Fish recognizes stewards of the land*

Landowner's river

CHEYENNE — For nearly 30 years, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department has recognized landowners throughout the state who have demonstrated outstanding wildlife management and implemented habitat improvement and conservation techniques on their properties with the Landowner of the Year Awards. These stewards of the land open access to research and recreation on thousands of acres across Wyoming and, more importantly, maintain habitat for wildlife. Game and Fish recognized seven landowners as the 2024 Landowners of the Year. *They were honored during a reception in Douglas. [ [link removed] ]*

*Fall fire safety a must*
Hunter with fire

CHEYENNE — Six years ago, an abandoned warming fire ignited the surrounding forest and burned more than 61,000 acres and destroyed 58 homes in the Roosevelt Fire south of Jackson. *Hot and uncontrolled fall fires can cause devastating damage to the surrounding communities and affect hunting seasons and wildlife habitats. Hunters can help put an end to hunger

Food from the Field

CHEYENNE — Hunters know the value of Wyoming’s wildlife and their harvested big game and there’s no better way to share the bounties of our state than sharing it with those who need it the most. *Hunters interested in donating their harvested big game animal to help fight hunger in Wyoming can easily donate their meat to Food from the Field — a statewide partnership focused on building a sustainable future fighting hunger.
