John,

As we approach fall, the November elections, and the end of 2024, Common Future is working to prioritize the deep systemic work that addresses barriers that exist within our field.

Black, Indigenous, and other people of color-led organizations are constantly developing solutions that move us toward a more equitable economy. But why aren’t those solutions getting mainstream attention and resources?

We know that our current economic system is stacked against those solutions – that’s why Common Future is committed to changing that system, in community and coalition with you.

We invite you to register for a five-part workshop series designed to offer the tools, resources, and peer community nonprofits need to effectively engage in systems change work.

What: Systems Change Workshops for Nonprofits: Building New Power
When: Weekly on Thursdays, starting on October 10
Where: Zoom links provided upon registration

This workshop series is for you if you:
  • Work at a nonprofit organization whose mission benefits Black and Indigenous folks and communities
  • Believe your work would be more impactful if a more equitable economic system was in place
  • Seek a coalition of like minded practitioners who want to address root causes in addition to meeting direct needs

The workshop series will give you:
  • Best practices and learnings from the economic justice field
  • Peer expertise and support
  • Space for ideation and workshopping
We hope you’ll join us for what we expect will be deeply impactful conversations. While we recommend leaders attend all five sessions to get the most out of the workshop series, we understand if there are a few sessions that make more sense for your organization to attend.

In solidarity,
—The Common Future Team
