John,
Since we began our Vote for Human Needs campaign, volunteers have signed up to send more than 25,000 letters to voters in key swing states urging them to vote and reminding them of all the documentation they need at the polls to make their voices heard.
We’re not letting up! In October, we’re hosting weekly letter writing parties and text banks to reach as many voters as possible―especially since early voting has either begun or will begin soon in states across the country.
With just 6 weeks until Election Day, rush a donation of $5
or more to power our Vote for Human Needs. Help us reach voters in swing states and make sure they have what they need to vote for human needs in this critical election.

Through our Vote for Human Needs campaign, we’re also supporting nonprofit organizations and service providers to help them encourage voters to make their voices heard. Last week we joined the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) for their "Our Homes, Our Votes" webinar where we briefed community based housing providers on how they can help Get Out the Vote.1
Camilla Ahmed, voter engagement coordinator at the Coalition on Human Needs, described the importance of voter engagement to raise awareness of issues that matter to low-income people. She shared our voter guides as a voter education tool.2
Camilla was joined by Daniella Pierre, president of the NAACP Miami-Dade Branch who emphasized that affordable housing is central to a thriving democracy. She offered guidance for voters to get educated and prepare to cast their ballots, engage with candidates to learn about their stances, and determine their voting options.
Zoe Williamson Cretini, associate digital communications director at Students Learn Students Vote, gave an overview of National Voter Education Week and offered resources for planning successful in-person and digital activations.
We’re partnering with allies across the country to help vulnerable communities vote in this critical election.
Together, we’re reaching infrequent voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, educating them on important human needs issues and providing them with all the information they need to cast their ballot. We cannot continue this work without your support.
Can you donate $5
or more to help us continue this important work through Election Day?
