The UNCF scholarship was the only one that responded, but it enabled her to attend Xavier University of Louisiana, the nation’s leading institution for Black students who go on to medical school. With the support of UNCF, Bridgette not only graduated from college but continued her journey to become a physician, proving that with the right support, anything is possible.
