Last week, I wrote asking for your support to fight billionaire-funded lies about Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT), who is in a critical race that is likely to determine control of the U.S. Senate.

I wrote an op-ed debunking those lies — and it was just published by Montana’s largest newspaper, the Billings Gazette.

That’s why I’m deeply concerned with the misinformation Tim Sheehy has been spreading about Sen. Jon Tester’s record on Social Security and Medicare. It is alarming for Montana seniors, and a dishonest way of fearmongering to win an election.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that Sen. Tester has a consistent and strong record of standing up for seniors, Social Security, and Medicare. Sen. Tester strongly opposes any plans to sunset Social Security and has always voted to protect our Social Security and Medicare benefits because he knows it would be a slap in the face to everyone who has earned those benefits over their lifetimes.”

Later in the op-ed, I inform Montana voters that Tim Sheehy has called for “pure privatization” of health care in America, which means destroying Medicare and Medicaid!
