Dear John,

The East African country of Burundi is one of the poorest countries in the world, with a long history of violence and totalitarianism.

One day in 2015, a young activist in the country, Aimable Manirakiza, decided to stand up and call out the corruption.

Government officials had violated the country’s constitution by ignoring the clauses on term limits.

Aimable joined other concerned citizens in pointing out their illegal and unethical behavior and told them it was time to leave office.

As you’d expect from such loving tyrants, the regime responded by threatening Aimable and his friends and family.

So he fled to nearby Kenya.

But after receiving training and support from Atlas Network, he courageously returned and founded the Centre for Development and Enterprises, Great Lakes (CDE), a pro-freedom think tank that’s become a respected voice for economic and personal liberty in Burundi (and a strong advocate for following constitutional term limits!).

CDE started in 2017 with a modest $2,000 grant courtesy of the Atlas Network Think Tank Startup Grant program, and they were invited to join the exclusive Smart Bets program for 2023.

From now until the end of the month, we’re hosting an end-of-quarter giving campaign to support Atlas Network Academy training programs, particularly for our partners in Africa like CDE.

We want to help our partners continue spreading free enterprise and personal liberty to the regions around the world that truly need it most.

Please join Atlas Network today by sending a gift in support of our end-of-quarter giving campaign.

CDE is one of the best examples of how even a small gift can become an enormous win for personal liberty and change the lives of thousands on the other side of the world.

Please consider supporting Atlas Network Academy training programs by sending a gift today.

Thank you,

Kam

P.S. Even a gift of $5, $10, $25, or $50 would go a long way toward supporting Atlas Network partners in Africa and across the globe. Thank you again!
