AP: Senate Republicans again block legislation to guarantee women's right to IVF
Last week, Republicans in the Senate blocked legislation once again that would protect and guarantee a woman’s right to in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Last week, I joined my colleagues in the House and introduced the Right to IVF Act, a package of four bills to expand IVF access. While I’ve been leading the effort in the House to pass protections, Republicans haven’t matched their words with actions.
These are the stakes we’re dealing with this November. IVF is a lifeline for countless families hoping to bring children into the world, yet access to this critical care is under threat.
