This morning, the occupant of the White House endorsed Rep. Ilhan Omar’s
re-election opponent — and took the chance to spread more lies about
Ilhan. He tweeted:

“Omar is a disaster who wants much higher taxes, hates our Military &
our Vets, demands Open Borders, and is fighting to take away our great
2nd Amendment.”

He couldn’t be further from the truth. Ilhan is a fierce advocate for
change, and she is fighting each and every day for the communities she
represents.

In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, she is continuing to advocate and
legislate in support of housing justice, protections for frontline
workers, to protect immigrants and refugees, and for economic relief that
puts people over corporations. I am proud to call her my sister in service
in Congress.
