While our communities, states, country and the world grapple with the fallout of the Covid-19 outbreak, we have anchors that hold us fast to the hope for better elections.

Now is the time to build on our progress.

Here are four reasons to participate in the #RankedChoiceVoting #WeekofAction and help us build support for wider scale reform: 



- From the third party presidential runs of Ross Perot, Gary Johnson and now Justin Amash, candidates shouldn't have to play spoiler. We must break the historical trend <[link removed]> of panicking over third party candidates and enact real electoral reforms, like ranked choice voting.
- Ranked choice voting in combination with vote-by-mail made an enormous difference in the four state presidential primaries <[link removed]> that used it during this pandemic. While other states were delaying elections or risking public health by allowing them to go forward, Wyoming, Alaska, Hawaii, and Kansas could move ahead with their rank-choice mail ballots.
- The people of Maine and then the state legislature blazed a trail for ranked choice voting for the 2020 Presidential general election <[link removed]>.
- State parties in Utah, Iowa, and Minnesota <[link removed]> switched to using RCV for their state conventions.

Let’s lift up these successes and opportunities by walking towards ranked choice voting in 2024 in all states for the presidential election. 

Join us in spreading the word and growing our ranks during this Week of Action. 

We kicked off the ranked choice voting Week of Action with a virtual gathering that included more than a hundred people, 20 breakout sessions, and a new list of great ideas from so many of you. And it’s only Monday!
