[link removed] [[link removed]] Hey – I know that one of the hardest parts about election season is all the campaigns asking you to pitch in and help out.

The fact of the matter is, the donations I get from grassroots supporters when I send emails just like this keep the lights on for our campaign. They pay for everything from TV ads to office space — so it’s no exaggeration to say, folks like you are the difference between victory and defeat in this incredibly close race.

If that’s all you need to hear, and you’re ready to pitch in and support me, then here’s a link to do just that. [[link removed]] But I also know it’s not an easy choice to donate your hard-earned money, and the burden is on me to prove that it’s worth it. So if you’re looking for a good reason, well, here are five:

1. I’m fighting for working families because I understand what it’s like when your family does everything right but still can’t get ahead. My family comes from humble roots. My dad immigrated here from Mexico and worked all kinds of jobs to put food on the table for our family. But even though he and my mom worked as hard as they possibly could, it wasn’t enough to pay for my education — so I paid my own way, pouring cups of coffee and painting fences, and became the first in my family to earn a college degree.

2. I’m proud to be delivering results for Oregon families. I’m one of the only representatives to pass legislation in this chaotic, extremist-run Congress. And I’m fighting every day to build an economy that puts working families before corporations — and to protect our fundamental freedoms like the right to choose.

3. My opponent’s agenda couldn’t be more different. He wants to ban abortion with no exceptions, cut programs like Medicaid and Social Security that help millions of families, and give tax breaks to millionaires like himself.

4. Far-right super PACs are targeting this seat because it holds the key to deciding the House. The NRCC just dumped $6,060,000 into our media market — more than any media market in the entire country. We’ve had to increase our fundraising goals to prepare for an even bigger barrage of attack ads than we were expecting.

5. Your donation makes a real difference. Like I said, our grassroots supporters are keeping the lights on. This race is actually a rematch between me and the very same opponent I faced in 2022. I won that race with 50.1% of the vote, so, yes — every dollar really does go a long, long way.

Thanks for taking the time to read this very long email. I don’t know if all five of those reasons will speak to you personally, but if even one of them convinced you, please donate $5 to help us take back the House this November. With your help, we can get this done. [[link removed]]
