Good morning folks,

As a member of the Science, Space, and Technology committee in the House, the complexities of artificial intelligence is a recurring topic discussed in our committee hearings.

On one hand, AI has a lot of benefits. It’s creating jobs, stopping fentanyl trafficking, and helping paralyzed people regain movement.

On the other hand, it’s become a dangerous weapon used to spread misinformation and inflict harm.

But however you want to look at it, there’s no denying that AI is the future, it’s already here.

That’s why I strongly support our AI safety institute that is programmed to help us navigate through an AI world. But we aren’t the only ones competing with AI.

Another important role of mine is being a member of the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). And let me tell you, China has already invested $80 million in AI research – 8x the amount of what we’ve invested.

The relationship between China and the United States is complicated, but I know for certain that we cannot allow them to be a step ahead of us where AI is concerned.

I’ll always support the AI safety institute and will make sure we continue to be global leaders on AI development, but I can’t do it alone. Will you chip in $25 or more today to send me back to Congress to keep making progress? [[link removed]]
