New Projects Expected to Create 450 Jobs, More Than $132 Million in Investments
(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted today announced the approval of seven projects that will create 458 new jobs and retain 357 jobs statewide.
During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $34 million in new payroll and spur more than $132 million in investments across Ohio.
BBI Transportation, Inc., city of Obetz (Franklin County), and city of Columbus (Franklin County) expects to create 105 full-time-equivalent positions, generating $5.9 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new location project in Obetz and Columbus. BBI Transportation provides logistics and trucking services for clients across the eastern United States, focusing on the Midwest and Southeast markets. TCA approved a 1.438%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
Cipted Corp, city of Lancaster (Fairfield County), expects to create 18 full-time-equivalent positions, generating more than $1.28 million in new payroll as a result of the company’s new location project in Lancaster. Cipted Corp specializes in building commercial service truck bodies such as platform and dump bodies and has partnered with major auto manufacturers as a one-stop shop for dealers, fleets, businesses, and retail customers. TCA approved a 1.169%, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
Naraenanotech USA Inc., village of Hebron (Licking County), expects to create 50 full-time-equivalent positions, generating $3 million in new payroll as a result of the company’s new location project in Hebron. Naraenanotech USA Inc. is an industrial equipment manufacturing company customized for printing equipment in fields including metal wiring layer printing, rechargeable batteries, semiconductors, displays, and pre/post-processing equipment manufacturing technology. TCA approved a 1.24%, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
Piston Automotive, LLC, city of Avon (Lorain County), expects to create 79 full-time-equivalent positions, generating more than $4.6 million in new payroll as a result of the company’s new location project in Avon. Piston Automotive, LLC, specializes in the supply of chassis modules and interior trim, specialty plastic parts, and logistics services for the automotive industry. TCA approved a 1.312%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
The Tranzonic Companies, city of Richmond Heights (Cuyahoga County) expects to create 31 full-time-equivalent positions, generating more than $2.8 million in new payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Richmond Heights. The Tranzonic Companies manufactures and distributes cleaning and hygiene products serving customers in diverse end markets, including commercial, industrial, institutional and business consumer sectors. TCA approved a 1.421%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
National Electrical Carbon Products, Inc., city of Fostoria (Seneca County) expects to create 124 full-time-equivalent positions, generating more than $11.4 million in new payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Fostoria. National Electrical Carbon Products produces carbon and graphite products for the electrical industry. TCA approved a 1.704%, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
Wedgewood Connect Ohio, LLC, village of Albany (Athens County), expects to create 51 full-time-equivalent positions, generating more than $5 million in new payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in Albany. Wedgewood Connect Ohio, LLC, is a compounding pharmacy that focuses on producing animal health medications. TCA approved a 1.54%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
