TDI adopts rule about notices for terminating insurance policies

The Texas Department of Insurance has adopted a rule defining "termination" to include nonrenewals and discontinuations. The rule implements House Bill 1040 (88R, 2023). The bill requires companies to send notices electronically and nonelectronically when a policy is cancelled or terminated and the parties are doing business electronically.
