Trust for Public Land

Hey John,

Heat waves, wildfires, and floods, now deadlier than ever, have multiplied in frequency, claiming more lives each year. Public lands are one of the greatest resources we have to protect our communities—especially those most at risk from the effects of our warming climate. They provide vital green spaces that absorb carbon, mitigate extreme weather, and offer everyone a refuge from the stresses of everyday life.

In honor of National Public Lands Day, a generous donor has agreed to match all gifts up to $100K! But this match expires in a few days, so take action now.

YOUR $100 BECOMES $200
YOUR $60 BECOMES $120
YOUR $35 BECOMES $70
YOUR BEST GIFT = MATCHED

When you make your matched gift today, you’re helping to build climate resilience in places like:

California's Central Coast

In central California, coastal dunes protect against sea-level rise, forests and grasslands capture carbon, and wetlands absorb excess water. Trust for Public Land is working closely with community partners, residents, and local experts—including Indigenous communities—to craft a creative conservation plan that maximizes climate resilience in this beautiful but often overlooked region. With your support, we can build a brighter future for generations to come in California's Central Coast, while contributing to a healthier planet for us all >>

Chattahoochee RiverLands

Over the past 30 years, TPL has led the effort to expand access to the Chattahoochee RiverLands around Atlanta. We have already preserved over 18,000 acres of land and 80 miles of riverfront thus far, but there's still more work to do to see the Chattahoochee RiverLands become Atlanta's defining public space. We have plans to develop 48 miles of camp and paddle trails, 42 more water access points, and a ton of new trails to connect neighborhoods directly to the river, ensuring Atlanta residents can access the benefits from the joys of the outdoors. No wonder it’s on track to be Atlanta’s—and Georgia’s—defining public space for generations to come. Give now to help preserve this natural oasis of greenspace and allow more people to access and enjoy this beautiful river >>

It's clear that investing in our public lands is a necessity as climate change exacerbates threats like extreme heat and flooding. Through public land conservation, TPL is making green spaces more accessible, reducing urban heat, and preventing flooding caused by climate change. Public lands play a key role in improving quality of life across the board.

What better way to support this critical work than to make a matched gift to TPL this National Public Lands Day?

So, please, John, help make the most of this $100,000 match by making a gift that will have double the impact today >>
