Cuban Pilot in Notorious Shootdown Incident Entered Under CHNV Parole ([link removed])
By Andrew R. Arthur, September 18, 2024
Excerpt: There’s been a lot of discussion lately about the impacts — fiscal and otherwise — of a Biden-Harris program that allows tens of thousands of inadmissible nationals of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter the United States monthly, “CHNV parole”. Now, a former USCIS director claims one of those who took advantage of that scheme is a former Cuban military pilot who took part in a notorious 1996 operation in which two unarmed civilian planes were shot down, killing three U.S. citizens and a green card holder. The question’s no longer who the administration is letting in on CHNV parole — it’s who, if anyone, they’re keeping out.

CBP Releases Border Numbers for August ([link removed])
By Andrew R. Arthur
Excerpt: Illegal migrant apprehensions rose slightly last month, but the real action was at the ports of entry, where encounters of inadmissible aliens are running near all-time monthly highs. That’s all part of January 2023 Biden-Harris plan to funnel migrants into the country, away from the prying eyes of the immigration-wary.

Fed Chairman Concedes Border Crisis Is Boosting Unemployment ([link removed])
By Andrew R. Arthur
Excerpt: In explaining its reasons for cutting its benchmark interest rate by 0.5 percent on Wednesday, Fed Chairman Jerome Powell made a startling admission: The economy has cooled as unemployment has risen, and “one of the things that's allowed the unemployment rate to rise” has been “quite an influx across the borders” — confirming what the Center has been saying for quite a while as the border crisis has been raging.

By Colin Farnsworth
