Hi ,

You read the subject line correctly: Black Future Newsstand is back!

In partnership with Media2070, we are excited to invite you to Chicago’s Black Future Newsstand, an immersive day-long activation exploring the relationship between news, politics, racial narratives, and the potential for true democracy. This experience will take place on October 4th, at Gallery Guichard, located on the historic South Side.

If you’re unfamiliar with Black Future Newsstand, this custom-built art installation is packed with books, newspapers, magazines, and art that uplifts the truth of Black self-love. In Chicago, the activation is guided by the question: “What kind of media and technology system is worth fighting for?

Join Us on October 4th in Chicago
Installations like Black Future Newsstand dare us to dream of a future where power and ownership of media and technology are more widely controlled and influenced by social movements. That’s why our new strategy, #ShiftingTerrain, is building a people-centered landscape that drives us towards a liberatory future.

Your attendance brings us that much closer to closing relationship and collaboration gaps between movements and building power to accomplish durable wins that weaken the hold Big Tech and Media industries have on our terrain.

We hope to see you in Chicago on October 4th!
