A troubling new report finds that Republican U.S. Senate candidate Hung Cao endorsed a financial plan that would imperil Social Security, Medicare, and veterans’ benefits. 

Cao, who is challenging incumbent Democratic Senator Tim Kaine, signed on to Florida Sen. Rick Scott’s “Rescue America” plan — which called for ALL federal programs, including Social Security, Medicare, veterans’ services, and more, to be reauthorized by Congress every five years. 

In other words, Hung Cao’s plan would empower a Republican majority to cut or eliminate social safety net programs that millions of veterans and seniors rely on.

We can’t afford to let Hung Cao’s plan become a reality. So we have to ask: Can you pitch in $20 or more to help Tim Kaine stand up to Cao’s dangerous policy proposal?

When asked about his support for this draconian plan, Hung Cao didn’t hide from it, saying: “It was perfect. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for anything better.” 

What Cao didn’t mention is that more than 700,000 veterans in Virginia could lose their health insurance under his plan. 

This is the person who wants to represent Virginia in the U.S. Senate?! 

Tim Kaine will always stand up for Social Security, Medicare, and veterans’ services — in fact, he already has. In the Senate, Kaine helped pass bipartisan legislation to expand access to health care for veterans. He’s also led the fight to expand Medicare by providing a public option so families, individuals, and small businesses can access affordable health insurance. 

Polls show that Virginia is statistically tied at the top of the ticket — so Tim Kaine needs your support. Can you pitch in $20 or more to help Tim defeat Hung Cao in November?
