Unity in the Face of Crisis: Together We Are Stronger Than Hate
#GivingTuesdayNow
Fight Hate for Good
Dear John,
The COVID-19 pandemic has emboldened extremists who are spreading accusations of antisemitism, sinophobia, xenophobia and more hatred. A white supremacist accelerated his plan to bomb a hospital treating COVID-19 patients, synagogues were graffitied with hateful messages and hate continues to fester all around us online and in the streets.
However, this crisis is also proving to be a time of extraordinary unity and solidarity thanks to people like you who believe in coming together to stand up for what’s right. We are seeing people coming together for virtual town halls to call out hate, videos being made to support our healthcare workers and messages of love being shared while social distancing with friends.
That’s why we're urging you, John, to be part of #GivingTuesdayNow tomorrow, May 5. #GivingTuesdayNow is a movement to bring people together by supporting causes that can help us heal from the darkness we've seen in these times of urgent need.
We've always believed that when enough of us join together, hate doesn’t stand a chance. So we're asking, if you can during these challenging times, please stand up to antisemitism and all forms of hate and extremism now!

Even through that darkness, light shines through because of people like you. This crisis has highlighted the compassion in our communities, the sacrifices that so many people like you have made to protect our most vulnerable neighbors, and the good that can happen when we all work together.
Here are just a few examples of the good that ADL and supporters like you are doing nationally and regionally:
-
At a time when discord and hate are being nurtured by those with evil intent, ADL

-
We came together with local elected leaders to

-
ADL’s Center on Extremism is monitoring the rise in online hate and extremism fueled by new COVID-19 conspiracy theories… working to stop violent acts before they can happen.
-
As families and educators have adjusted to educating their children at home, ADL has organized webinars and distributed resources to engage young people in conversations and lessons to understand how COVID-19 has

P.S. During this pandemic, we have seen hatred targeting Jews, Asians, immigrants, and others. We cannot turn a blind eye to this dangerous pattern.
