This year’s ten Smart Bets participants will soon begin competing for a chance to win up to $100,000 in prizes.

The competition has two rounds.

The first occurs on September 25, when the ten contenders will pitch live to Atlas Network supporters. The viewing audience will vote for which three organizations advance to the finals.

The finals occur in November at Atlas Network’s Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner in New York City.

Whereas the first round is a virtual event, the finals will be in-person and on-stage in front of a crowd of hundreds of supporters.

Here’s exactly how the final competition will work.

First, each contestant will have a strict five minutes to make their pitch.

Next, each contestant will have five minutes to answer questions from the judges.

The judges are like the Sharks on the TV show Shark Tank. They’re Atlas Network donors, major philanthropists, and business professionals.

Because they’re looking for the best project to invest in, they’ll ask sharp, challenging questions to identify potential weaknesses.

After the three pitches, the judges will deliberate backstage and decide the winner.

Guests and participants will be able to enjoy the rest of the evening and dinner program, and Atlas Network will announce the winner to close out the night.
