Kentucky’s Governor Andy Beshear just took a bold step forward — he’s
banned conversion therapy, standing up for LGBTQ+ youth and protecting
them from the harmful and abusive practices still legal in too many
states.
But why aren’t more governors taking action? Why are countless LGBTQ+
individuals still facing this traumatic practice in states where
conversion therapy isn’t banned?
It’s time to demand more from our leaders. Every governor in America
should follow Beshear’s lead and ban this dangerous, discredited practice.
