Hospice doctor to speak against assisted suicide

We are pleased to announce that Dr Dominic Whitehouse, a palliative care consultant working in a hospice, will be speaking at three key SPUC meetings to help us campaign against assisted suicide.

The meetings will take place at:
* Manchester: 7.30 – 9pm, Tuesday 22 October 2024
* Newcastle: 7.30 – 9pm, Wednesday 23 October 2024
* Reading, Berkshire: 7.30 - 9pm, Tuesday 29 October 2024

Dr Whitehouse will explain why a change in the law will harm patients, doctors and society. This is a unique and important opportunity to hear a palliative care doctor speak at a public meeting about why assisted suicide is so wrong.

Professor David Albert Jones, Director of the Anscombe Bioethics Centre, will explain why legalising assisted suicide would be a threat to the vulnerable.
