Hi John, I’m writing a longer message than usual because I’m excited that today is the first day of fall and I have something important to share.

When I first began my journey as a registered nurse advocating for better access to affordable health care, I didn’t know that I'd be elected to Congress, representing the incredible people of Illinois' 14th district. Now here I am — about to wrap up my third term and ready for a fourth — honored to serve and build on our wins.

We've accomplished so much together over the last six years. By passing 18 pieces of legislation to save moms' lives, lower costs, and expand access to affordable health care, we’ve shown what’s possible when we unite behind our values. And we’re just getting started.

We are up against one of the most extreme Republican agendas in history, with efforts already in motion to undo our progress and deny millions of Americans the care, protection, and support they deserve.

I promise you, John, I will not back down. My opponent, Jim Marter, is yet another MAGA yes man who will do whatever it takes to appease Trump and help advance Project 2025, no matter the cost to millions of Americans. But with you on our side, we can send Marter packing, hold the line, and protect what we’ve built together.

John, each of us has a role to play in this pivotal election. However you join forces with us, whether you’re voting, donating, or volunteering, you empower our campaign to counter Republican schemes and dirty tricks while defending IL-14 and standing up for what matters most to our community.
