Hi friends. Today marks 44 (!) days from Election Day. If you’re feeling stressed about the final weeks until November 5th (who isn’t?!), remember that the absolute BEST way to alleviate election anxiety is to take action. With that in mind, here’s a list of a whole lot of ways you can help Democrats win in November: -
Donate. (I know what you’re thinking – but cycle after cycle shows us that resources make a HUGE difference in election outcomes.)
-
Find a volunteer event in your neighborhood, or a virtual event, and sign up to join. If you’re local to San Diego, our campaign would love to have you volunteer!
- Follow a candidate you like on social media and commit to sharing their posts regularly.
- Talk to a neighbor about voting.
-
Make sure your own voter registration is up-to-date.
- Post on your own social media about why you’re voting this year.
-
Educate yourself about local and down-ballot races in your area.
-
Sign up to be a poll worker in your community and help others vote.
- Take a friend with you to volunteer.
-
Make sure your family members are all registered to vote.
- Reach out to friends who live in other parts of the country and make sure they’re ready to vote.
- Wear swag! Show your support for your favorite candidates with a bumper sticker, yard sign, or t-shirt.
And that’s just the beginning! You can take action every single day between now and November 5th, and it won’t just soothe your anxiety – it will actually help get Democrats up and down the ticket to victory. Win-win :)
Little actions, when taken frequently, really do add up to big results – so I hope you join me in doing whatever you can, whenever you can. I’m grateful for this team! Thanks for reading. -Sara |
