Harris’ Failures as Border Czar

After halting construction of the southern border wall, suspending all deportations, and ending lifesaving Trump policies including ‘Remain in Mexico,’ Harris was promoted to Border Czar on March 24, 2021. In only 3.5 years, Harris has invited an unprecedented number of terrorists, human trafficking and drug smuggling cartel members, and fighting-age men into our country. She has spent millions of American taxpayer dollars to provide housing and transportation for those whose first act on American soil was to break the law. Under Harris’ leadership, there have been over 10 million illegal immigrant encounters. That is more than the population of the top 5 major cities in Texas combined and enough to fill 186 of the largest stadiums nationwide. She has not spoken with either of the past two Border Patrol chiefs and has not made a meaningful visit to the southern border. Her actions speak louder than false promises. She is in office now, but she refuses to use her power to reverse her deadly mistakes.

Fighting Against Harris’ America Last Energy Policies

It is clear the Biden-Harris Administration and their EPA are out of touch with the American people. While many families are struggling to pay bills and save for their future, this administration is ignoring out of control inflation while pushing a green energy bailout. Their latest rule is an attack on hard-working Americans, and if implemented, would require up to two-thirds of new cars and nearly 40% of trucks sold in the U.S. to be electric vehicles in the next eight years, threatening consumer choice and furthering our reliance on foreign adversaries. Small Business Committee Hearing

This week I led a full committee hearing with testimony from Small Business Administrator Guzman. Under her leadership, the SBA has proven they’re unwilling or unable to produce documents responsive to my Committee’s requests and has worked to undermine our investigations into various areas of the agency. Our nation’s small businesses are facing brutal economic headwinds, and it is our job to ensure they have a fighting chance at success. Watch my opening statement here.

Financial Services Subcommittee Hearing

Scam farms based in China and across Southeast Asia have been luring victims to their compounds with promises of employment, but upon arrival these individuals have their passports taken and are forced into carrying out scams under threat of torture, starvation, or the safety of their families. The Chinese government has done very little to disrupt and combat these organizations, allowing them to grow in size and influence, and continuously attack innocent Americans. We must protect Americans' savings and retirement funds from this multibillion dollar scam industry. Watch my line of questioning here.
