John,
“Dad” Lander knows that caring for our children — whether we do it ourselves or share the responsibility with family or child care educators — is one of the most rewarding parts of life.
But it’s also incredibly difficult. Along with housing, child care is too expensive and inaccessible in New York City. It’s one of the factors pushing families out of the city today.
A recent report from the Comptroller's office shows that families are not able to afford the care that they need. And even the programs we have are failing to reach the families who need it.
If elected Mayor, Brad will come to City Hall prepared with a plan to solve the child care affordability crisis:
- Immediately restore Mayor Adams’s cuts to child care
- Create universally available after-school programs for elementary and middle-school students
- Make sure that every eligible parent or caregiver has access to the paid leave they’re entitled to and hold employers who don't follow the law accountable.
Will you pitch in to Brad’s campaign for Mayor and support his work to make NYC a city where working families can thrive?
