Now more than ever, the autism community needs our support, and we are counting on you to help us provide critical information, resources and assistance.
A generous anonymous donor is graciously matching all donations, up to $25,000, to support families impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, so your donation can now go twice as far. We’re getting an early start on the day now - would you consider donating to inspire a wave of altruism and kindness during these challenging times?
I’d like to share a little more about how your donation will make an immediate impact on real families who urgently need help. Since the onset of this crisis:
- We’ve experienced a more than 30% increase in requests from individuals, families, caregivers and providers who urgently need our help via the Autism Response Team. They are fielding thousands of calls and emails per week, and we know the needs of our community will only increase over the coming weeks and months.
- Applications for Autism Speaks Cares Grants, which provide direct financial support to those who need it most, grew from single digits to the hundreds in a matter of days, and they continue to increase each day.
- Our COVID-19 web pages, offering vital answers and resources in this incredibly difficult time, have been accessed more than 110,000 times.
We are here to help, and we count on our generous donors to help us be there for our community’s diverse and evolving needs which are as varied as the autism spectrum itself.
