“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” John 16:33

Friend,

This is a verse I come back to time and time again as a source of encouragement and peace.

Jesus does not promise that our lives will be easy or simple if we follow Him – instead He confirms that this world will bring suffering and trials.

This world is not fair and sometimes it seems that evil is rewarded or celebrated, but at the end of the day we can still have peace in Jesus Christ. He is King and He has conquered the world!

These verses tell us not to find peace in ourselves or our circumstances, but instead to have peace In Him. While it can be difficult to trust that and not fall into fear or worry, His peace is one that surpasses all understanding and it allows us to stand courageous in facing the hardships of this world.

Find your peace In Him and remember that nothing in this world can take that away.
