This is it, John. We only have 48 HOURS to stop Missouri from executing Marcellus Williams, an innocent man.
Every hour, every minute, every second is critical right now. And even though Gov. Parson’s office is closed today, we can’t let a single moment go by where we’re not urging him to take action. So today, we’re asking you to SHARE Marcellus’ story far and wide:
|
We can’t be any more clear, John: Unless Gov. Parson intervenes, Marcellus will be executed for a crime he didn’t commit.
The state destroyed or corrupted the evidence that could have conclusively proved Marcellus’ innocence, and the available DNA and other forensic crime scene evidence do not match him. Plus, the state relied on the testimony of two incentivized, unreliable witnesses.
There is far too much uncertainty in this case to allow Marcellus to be executed, particularly when the victim’s husband believes life without parole is the appropriate sentence.
It is not too late for Gov. Parson to ensure that Missouri does not take an innocent man’s life.
With only 48 HOURS until the execution of Marcellus on Sept. 24, we’re counting on you to act now and share Marcellus’ story on socials to pressure Gov. Parson to stop this injustice:
