In a second, I’m going to make one of the most important asks I’ll make of you during this election. I want you to know that I never expect you to donate to every email, and I’m always honored to have you on this team — whether you get involved by chipping in a few bucks, signing a petition, putting out a yard sign, or talking to your loved ones about the policies we care about.
When we link arms, we make each other stronger. And every action adds up to make a real difference. Truly.
But if you are in a place to make a contribution right now, I could really use your support. In just a few weeks, we’ll file an official report with the FEC on our fundraising for the last three months. Our last fundraising report of this campaign.
The numbers will be public.
The thing that makes this report so important — and this ask from me so important — is that my Republican opponent and his special interest donors will use this report to gauge whether or not their Super PAC should pour more advertising money into this race — during a pivotal time when voters tune into political ads the most.
These special interest donors have already started to place six-figure ad buys against me — spreading misinformation to voters to prop up my Republican opponent. Any sign of weakness on our fundraising report could be a go-ahead indicator for them to spend more.
A strong fundraising support will help show what they’re up against: a powerful grassroots movement that is sick and tired of special interests using their money to buy our elections. And your support will help ensure we can fight back against whatever they throw at us in the weeks to come.
A donation of any amount today would be a huge help. If you’re able, can you please pitch in $28 or anything you can to publish a strong final report, fight back against these special interests trying to buy this seat for their Republican of choice, and defend our Senate majority? |
