CHAPTER UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
- New Co-chair: Congratulations to James J. for being appointed as co-chair of the chapter. 🎉 The Steering Committee (SC) voted unanimously to appoint him and he will serve the remainder of the term which lasts until the local convention in November. James was an organizer on the SC previously this term and he has been a long time active member of the chapter having served as co-chair from 2019-2020.
- Local Convention Working Group, Volunteers Needed: If you're interested in helping plan the next chapter convention / leadership election for November, please join the #local-convention-working-group channel in Slack or email us as soon as possible.
- Sac DSA Voter Guide, Coming Soon: Because mailed ballots are due to be sent out in early October, the SacDSA Electoral Committee will release a voter guide for the November 2024 Presidential Election no later than October 11th, 2024. We will provide insight and information about local (Sacramento city) ballot measures, statewide propositions, local school board candidates, and the candidates for certain state Assembly districts.

FREE PALESTINE DAY OF ACTION
Sacramento stands with Palestine! Join us in solidarity with other cities across the country as we mark one year of Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people. We demand that our government end its support for Israel's war crimes and other violations of human rights and international law.
