#GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, is tomorrow, and we have a big update: As part of the outpouring of response to help those around the world, a group of anonymous donors has offered to match all gifts, up to $500,000. As a committed member of the Oxfam community, you can have your gift matched today.

The coronavirus has disrupted life all over the world – and the health and economic impacts have been most devastating to poor and marginalized communities, who are struggling to survive without a safety net. That's why people from all over the world are coming together tomorrow, on the newly-created #GivingTuesdayNow, in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

We're calling on the Oxfam community to support our efforts fighting both COVID-19 and poverty worldwide. The need is great – and your matched gift can have double the impact.

Your matched gift today will immediately make an impact where it's needed:

• Supporting our efforts to help those living in poverty in the US cope with COVID-19, like in North Carolina, where we're helping partners distribute cash assistance to workers who have been laid off and distributing health and safety information.
• Offering assistance to refugee families susceptible to coronavirus abroad, like refugees living in displacement camps in Myanmar where clean water and soap is hard to come by – we're building handwashing stations to keep families safe.
• Supporting families battling multiple emergencies. For families in Syria, entering the 10th year of conflict, COVID-19 is an additional, not singular, hardship. We're scaling up our work in Syria and other hard-hit communities, to provide clean water and accurate information.
• Helping people in more than 90 countries escape poverty with programs that promote gender equality, teach farmers cost-effective farming practices, and establish group savings and loan programs. As safety measures to prevent the spread of the virus continue, COVID-19 will continue to push more families into poverty in every country where we work. Our long-term programming is now more important than ever.
