John, Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
This month, we celebrate our Latino culture and honor the incredible contributions made by Latino Americans in the United States.
Celebrating our Hispanic heritage also means recognizing the sacrifices of the generations before us, who came to the U.S. in search of the American dream.
For me, it’s my mom and abuela. For you, it could be a parent, a best friend, a neighbor down the street. But for all of us, Latino representation in Congress isn’t just a nice idea – it’s a critical priority.
Will you chip in now, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, to keep me fighting in Congress for all of us?
My abuela, my mom, and my aunt came from Cuba during the freedom flights in the late 1960s. They had no money, and didn’t speak English. My abuela worked multiple factory jobs for little pay in harsh working conditions, just so my mom and aunt would have a shot at a better life for themselves and their future families.
Because of their sacrifices, I was able to live out the American dream and become the first Gen Z and Afro-Cuban member of Congress.
I’m proud to be a part of one of the most diverse classes of Congress in history, with a record number of Latinos serving right now. But there’s a lot more progress to be made.
We need to ensure that our Hispanic heritage stays represented in Congress, so we can ALL achieve the American dream.
I promise to always fight for nuestro comunidad, but I’m counting on grassroots support to stay in it. Can you make a donation to my campaign so I can keep fighting for our American dream in Congress? >>
