When the novel coronavirus started spreading globally, UNICEF raced to contain the outbreaks knowing that thousands of lives were at stake. It was the outpouring of generosity from this community that enabled us to respond rapidly to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the number of confirmed cases skyrocketed globally, we rushed vital supplies, including soap and personal protective equipment, to health workers on the front lines. We also distributed key hygiene information to at-risk communities to prevent the spread of the virus.
