Friend,

What a week it’s been! Our Winnebago made nine stops throughout Iowa, finally rolling in to the Iowa State Fair—which I’ve been wanting to go to for years.

Let me tell you—nothing compares to seeing the festivities in person. For me, the Iowa State Fair was so much more than a celebration—it was an opportunity to speak to early primary voters who live in both urban and rural communities, who’ve voted for both Democratic and Republican presidential candidates.

Talking to Iowans from a variety of backgrounds, one commonality came through: voters want effective, realistic solutions to issues like the costs of health care, gun violence in our schools and workplaces, and the security of our elections.

These are solutions that only an experienced and pragmatic progressive like me can deliver. But we need funding to continue to engage voters at events like this. Can you chip in now to help me keep going?

As I said on the famous Iowa State Fair soapbox, “When things look the worst, is when we have to work the hardest.” I thought about this while visiting some of Iowa’s most famous landmarks, like the Field of Dreams, and the workplaces that keep the economy ticking, including an ethanol plant.

That said, you probably won’t be surprised to hear that my favorite part of the fair was grabbing a beer with Iowans and talking about our nation’s path forward.

We have a long 14 months ahead of us, but that’s why we need to dig our heels in now—to spread our vision and build our team. Can you chip in now to keep this campaign going?

Thanks,
John
