When I first ran for Congress, I promised to lead with joy, courage, and kindness. Those are my core values, and I’m committed to upholding that promise each and every day.
And I’ll be honest with you, John: On some days, it can be hard! There is still so much work left to do to successfully fight against extremism and to ensure that every Vermonter has what they need to thrive.
In those times, I practice gratitude!
I’m grateful to you for reading these emails and being engaged with this work. Trust me, I know how full your inbox can get, so it means a lot to me that you’re following along and supporting my team and I.
I’m also grateful to Vermont’s voters who have put their faith in me to be the leader they deserve.
And I’m grateful to my colleagues in Congress who have worked with me to pass key legislation on expanding voting rights, protecting LGBTQ+ folks, improving housing affordability, and more.
Now, on World Gratitude Day, I want to ask you – what are you grateful for? [[link removed]]
DROP ME A NOTE [[link removed]]
I hope you’ll join me in leaning into gratitude today, and I’m looking forward to reading your responses!
– Becca Balint
